September 29, 2013-Playing their third game in five days, Emporia State held #14 Central Missouri to a scoreless tie in double overtime to earn a key point in the MIAA standings.

Hornet keeper Yadira Rivera kept the Jennies out of the goal despite 14 shots on goal and 38 overall shots.  Emporia State had an opportunity to get the win on break aways in both overtime periods.  Mallory Walden had a one on one in the 94th minute while Kaitlyn Eden had another chance with just 1:13 left in the second overtime.

Rivera posted her fourth consecutive shutout and broke the Emporia State record for consecutive scoreless minutes at 395:45 over the last five games.  It was her fifth shutout of the season to tie Tasha Henry for second on the Emporia State single season list.

NOTES:
The tie broke a ten match losing streak to Central Missouri dating back to a 2-0 Emporia State win on October 23, 2005.
