April 10, 2013-The ESU Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is inviting Emporia area senior citizens to “Dance at the Drive In” at their seventh annual Senior Citizen Prom at the ESU Memorial Union’s Webb hall, Thursday, April 11 from 7-9 p.m.
”Senior citizens play a big role in all of our athletic events and SAAC wants to show how much we appreciate them,” said ESU soccer player and SAAC president Lindsey Allen. "Last year over 170 seniors from the Emporia area enjoyed our sixth annual prom."
The night will consist of live music by The Fabulous Torques playing 50’s & 60’s music. The Senior Citizen Prom is for adults 55 years or over in age, and is free of charge. L-CAT transportation service will be available by calling 342-6119. Lions Club will provide valet parking and Emporia student-athletes will meet seniors at the entrance to the Memorial Union and will be available to escort them to the Webb Hall. Photos to remember the evening will also be provided.
