INTO THE POD  
The Lady Hornets will play five of their next six games against teams in their scheduling pod, beginning with Central Oklahoma.
 
THE COACHES
Jory Collins is 57-24 in his third year as the head coach of the Lady Hornets and has guided them to the MIAA Tournament Championship Game in each of his first two seasons. He has seven wins against Top 25 teams. This is his 12th season on the Lady Hornet coaching staff and Emporia State has advanced to the NCAA tournament in ten of those seasons. He is 1-0 against Central Oklahoma.
Guy Hardaker is 135-67 in his seventh year at Central Oklahoma. He is 1-1 against Emporia State.

ABOUT THE LADY HORNETS
Emporia State is 14-6 on the year and 9-3 in the MIAA.  The Lady Hornets have won seven straight and nine of their last ten games. They have won six straight MIAA games by at least ten points for the first time since recording eight straight double digits wins from Jan. 27-Feb. 20, 2008.  
 
LAST TIME OUT
Rachel Hanf continued her hot play of late with a game high 24 points as the Emporia State Lady Hornets rolled to an 85-54 win over Lindenwood. The Lady Hornets jumped out to a 9-0 lead and never trailed in the contest.  The lead reached 41 with 6:01 left in the game before the Lady Hornets settled for the 31 point victory. Hanf was joined in double figures by Desiree Wylie with 16, Merissa Quick with 11 points and Rheanna Egli with ten.  

ABOUT THE BRONCHOS
Central Oklahoma is 9-12 on the season and 2-11 in the MIAA.  They snapped a ten game losing streak on Saturday with an 88-79 win over Lincoln.  They are 4-5 in Hamilton Field House this season.  Alyssa Flux is the leading scorer on the season at 12.0 points per game, but Jill Bryan is the leading scorer in MIAA games at 11.3 points per game. Ten different players have started at least one game.

THE SERIES    
The Lady Hornets lead the overall series 9-4  with the first 12 games coming as non-conference foes. The two teams have split four games in Edmond with the Bronchos winning the last meeting in Hamilton Field House 78-68 on Dec. 4, 2001.

LAST TIME VS. CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
Rachel Hanf scored a career high 23 points to lead the Emporia State women to an 89-57 win over Central Oklahoma. Emporia State would close the half on a 26-7 run to lead 49-29 at the intermission.  The lead would grow to as much as 36 with 1:33 left in the game. Hanf was joined in double figures by Desiree Wylie with a career high 15 points, Rheanna Egli with 11 points and Laura Patrick with ten.  Wylie had nine rebounds and Egli dished nine assists as both narrowly missed double-doubles.

UP NEXT
Emporia State travels to Missouri Southern on Saturday for the second to last conference road game of the season. Tip-off from the Leggett & Platt Center in Joplin, Mo. is set for 5:30 p.m.  The Lady Hornets will play three of their final four games in White Auditorium.
