December 21, 2013-Missouri Southern went 30 of 32 from the line in an 89-60 win over the Emporia State men on Saturday afternoon at Slaymaker Court in White Auditorium. The Lions are 60 of 66 from the line in their last two games in White Auditorium.
\The score was tied at 4-4 with 16:44 left when MSSU took the lead for good with a 7-1 run. The Hornets trailed 40-27 after a pair of Gavin Brown free throws with 1:39 left but the Lions scored the final six points of the half to take a 19 point lead to the locker rooms.
A Paul Bunch put back with 15:23 to go in the game pulled the Hornets within 14, but a 10-2 run pushed the Lions lead back over 20 points.
Terrence Moore led the Hornets with a career high 27 points while Paul Bunch added his third double-double of the year with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
The Hornets will not be in action again for 14 days, when they travel to Lincoln. Tip-off in Jefferson City is set for 3:30 p.m.
