November 23, 2012-The Emporia State men salvage the final game of the GCI Alaska Invitational with a 79-68 victory over Mary on Saturday night in Fairbanks, Alaska. The win was a key regional victory over the Mauraders of the NSIC.
Terrence Moore had a career high 24 points to lead the Hornets while Kaleb Wright added 18 points.
Emporia State will now travel from the central part of Alaska to South Texas after Thanksgiving to take part in the St. Mary's Thanksgiving Classic in San Antonio, Texas. The Hornet are scheduled to play Southeastern Oklahoma at 5 p.m. on Friday in San Antonio.
