November 1, 2013-Senior center Paul Bunch had nine points, nine rebounds and three blocks for Emporia State in an 87-51 loss at #8 Oklahoma State on Friday night. Â
The Hornets led 5-4 on a layup by Bunch with 17:36 left in the first half before the Cowboys went on a 15-5 run to take the lead for good. Oklahoma State then went on a 17-0 run to take control of the game with a 36-10 lead at the 4:03 mark of the first half.
The Cowboys scored 30 points off 25 Hornet turnovers in the game.
Freshman Jay Temaat led Emporia State with 12 points and was the only Hornet in double figures. Markel Brown led six Cowboys in double figures with 14 points.
The Hornets will be back in action on Friday, November 8 when they travel to UMKC. Tip-off from Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City, Mo. is set for 3:05 p.m. It will be the first of three games in three days.
