February 18, 2012-The #20 Lady Hornets had four players in double figures as the picked up a 62-57 road win at Lincoln on Saturday afternoon. 

ESU jumped out to a 10-2 lead to open the game, capped by back to back three-pointers by Rachel Hanf.  LU came back to take the lead at 27-26 on Dahlia Booker’s lay-up with 2:40 left in the half.  Kelsey Balcom answered with a three pointer with 1:54 left to give the Lady Hornets the lead for good. 

The Lady Hornets scored the first five points of the second half to go up 35-27 with 18:41 left in the game.  Their lead would grow to 12 points with 9:02 left on Balcom fast break layup before the Blue Tigers started to chip away at the lead.

LU outscored ESU 11-4 after Rheanna Egli hit a three pointer at the 4:41 mark, but the Lady Hornets hit four of six free throws in the final two minutes to seal the win.

Balcom and Merissa Quick both scored 13 points to lead the Lady Hornets and they were joined by Hanf with 11 points and Heather Robben with ten points.  Balcom led ESU with eight rebounds.

The Lady Hornets return to White Auditorium on Wednesday when they play host to #15 Washburn in the Turnpike Tussle.  It will be the final home game for ESU seniors Heather Robben, Kayla Krueger and Dava Logsdon.  Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
