DOWN THE STRETCH
The #22 Lady Hornets travel to Central Missouri before playing four of their next six in White Auditorium. ESU is two games out of first place in the MIAA and two games ahead of UCM in the league standings.
LAST TIME OUT
The #17 Lady Hornets hit just two of 16 three pointers in a 78-60 loss at Truman. The Bulldogs hit three straight from behind the three point line to open the second half and turn a three point game into a 14 point deficit. ESU jumped out to a 6-0 lead and held a five point lead with 9:50 left in the half. TSU then went on a 10-2 run to take the lead for good. The Bulldogs took their biggest lead of the night at 66-46 with 5:42 left before the Lady Hornets went on an 8-0 run to cut the lead to 12 with 4:40 remaining. TSU, who was 13 of 26 from the line going into the final five minutes, hit eight straight from the line to secure the win. Rachel Hanf led ESU with 13 points while Kathryn Flott had a career high 12 points, Heather Robben added 11 and Jocelyn Cummings had ten points for ESU. Hanf led ESU with seven rebounds.
THE COACHES
Jory Collins is 34-13 in his second year as the head coach of the Lady Hornets and is 4-4 vs. Top 25 teams. This is his 11th season on the Lady Hornet coaching staff and ESU has advanced to the NCAA tournament in eight of his ten previous seasons. He is 4-0 against Central Missouri.
Dave Slifer is 139-87 in his eighth year at UCM and 522-187 in his 22nd season overall. He is 16-34 all-time against ESU, 6-15 at UCM and 10-19 while at Missouri Western.
SCOUTING THE JENNIES
Central Missouri is 14-5 overall and 8-5 in the MIAA and had won six games before losing to Pitt State on Saturday in the Multi. The two leading scorers and rebounders come off the bench after starting the first 11 games of the season. Nicole Caddell averages 15.9 points and 7.4 rebounds while Shaquanda Wiggins averages 14.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. The Jennies lead the MIAA in assist to turnover ratio and are second in the league in field goal percentage and three-point field goal percentage.
THE SERIES
The Lady Hornets lead the all-time series 36-29, have won four straight and 11 of the last 13 meetings overall. ESU has won eight of the last ten games in the Multipurpose Building. The two have met nine times in the post season with ESU holding a 5-2 lead in the MIAA Tournament and a 4-0 lead in NCAA Tournament play.
LAST TIME VS. CENTRAL MISSOURI
Heather Robben scored a career high 31 points to lead the Emporia State Lady Hornets to an 80-66 victory over #22 Central Missouri in White Auditorium. The Lady Hornets jumped out to a 9-4 lead and never trailed in the game. Robben was joined in double figures by Rachel Hanf with 14 points and six assists. Merissa Quick had ten rebounds to lead the Lady Hornets. ESU shot a blistering .560 from the field including .526 from behind the three-point line.

The #17 Lady Hornets return to White Auditorium to take on #6 Northeastern State. Tip-off for the top 20 match-up is set for 1:30 p.m.
