BACK ON THE ROAD
The #17 Lady Hornets are back on the road at Truman after playing five of their last six in White Auditorium.
LAST TIME OUT
Heather Robben scored 27 points including nine points in the final minute to lead the #17 Lady Hornets to a 73-65 win over Missouri Western on Wednesday night in White Auditorium. ESU led by as many as 17 points in the first half and had 13 point lead with 12:23 remaining before MWSU started their comeback. Jessica Koch pulled the Griffons into a tie at 57-57 with 4:16 left in the game. Merissa Quick answered for ESU with an old fashioned three point play to give ESU the lead for good. Western would cut the lead to one at 60-59 with 2:42 left but Robben then hit a pair of free throws with 1:58 left and Kathryn Flott hit a layup to give ESU a 64-59 lead with 1:11 left. Robben hit a three pointer with 19 seconds left and the shot clock winding down to put ESU up 69-63. Quick joined Robben in double figures with ten points. Dava Logsdon had a career high eight points and seven rebounds.
THE COACHES
Jory Collins is 34-12 in his second year as the head coach of the Lady Hornets and is 4-4 vs. Top 25 teams. This is his 11th season on the Lady Hornet coaching staff and ESU has advanced to the NCAA tournament in eight of his ten previous seasons. He is 3-0 against Truman.
Michael Smith is 41-57 in his fourth year at Truman and was 102-34 in four seasons at Moberly Area CC. He is 0-7 against ESU.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Truman is 10-7 overall, 5-7 in the MIAA after opening the season 8-1. They are 6-3 in Pershing Arena. Becka McHenry is the leading scorer for TSU at 13.5 points per game and recorded a triple-double with 14 points, ten rebounds and ten assists against Pittsburg State in their last game.
THE SERIES
The Lady Hornets lead the all-time series 41-6 and has won 20 of the last 21 meetings. ESU has won nine straight against TSU in Pershing Arena and 20 of the last 21 overall. The lone Bulldog win in that time was at the 2008 MIAA Tournament.
LAST TIME VS. TRUMAN
Merissa Quick recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds as the #23 Lady Hornets defeated Truman 70-49 in White Auditorium. The Lady Hornets would go on an 11-1 run to take a 15-5 lead with 7:58 left in the half. The Lady Hornets pounded the ball inside on their way to a 34-20 halftime lead thanks to 20 points in the paint. The Lady Hornets would take the first of three 21 point leads at 50-29 with 11:36 remaining. Kelsey Balcom scored 16 points to lead four Lady Hornets in double figures. Quick added 12 points while Rachel Hanf and Sarah Wood each scored ten points. Heather Robben scored nine points with a team high five assists.

The #17 Lady Hornets travel to Central Missouri on Wednesday. Tip-off at the UCM Multipurpose Building in Warrensburg, Mo. is set for 5:30 p.m.
