NOTES:
The last season opening loss for ESU was an 83-78 loss at Ft. Hays State to open the 1995-96 season.
ESU hit two three pointers in the last 35 seconds to avoid going with out a made three pointer for the first time since Feb. 15, 2006.
The loss snapped a 12 game winning streak by ESU over Newman.
NU received two points when they were awarded free throws on the sixth common foul against ESU of the second half. There were two stoppages in play before the mistake was officially recognized so it was not correctable at that time.
