TJ Racherbaumer is a first-year Graduate Assistant Coach for the Emporia State University baseball program, bringing with him a distinguished playing career marked by leadership, consistency, and high-level performance. A former Hornet standout, Racherbaumer served as Emporia State’s starting catcher for four seasons and a three-year team captain before moving on to play professionally with the Williamsport Crosscutters in the MLB Draft League.

During his collegiate career, Racherbaumer established himself as one of the most productive and durable players in ESU baseball history. His offensive impact placed him among the Hornets’ all-time greats, concluding his career fifth in hits (200), ninth

Racherbaumer now transitions into coaching, applying his experience, knowledge of the game, and catcher-specific expertise to the next generation of Hornet student-athletes. His background as a high-level collegiate and professional player gives him a unique perspective on player development, leadership, and the demands of championship-level
baseball.
