Anthony Caenepeel

Anthony Caenepeel is in his first year with the Hornet coaching staff as the Pitching Coach at Emporia State. 
 
Prior to arriving in Emporia, Caenepeel spent 5 years as the Pitching Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Kirkwood Community College. In 2021 and 2022 the Eagles qualified for the NJCAA Division 2 World Series. Under Caenepeel, the Eagles pitching staff led the ICCAC in ERA in both 2023 and 2024, along with posting the most strikeouts in 2024. In 2018 and 2019, he was the graduate assistant at Northwest Missouri State University and a part of their 2018 MIAA Regular Season Conference Championship. 
 
A 2017 graduate of Northwest, Caenepeel was a three time All-MIAA selection, capped by being named the 2017 MIAA Pitcher of the Year. In May 2024 Anthony was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame Diamond 9 Club. He earned a bachelor's degree in History and a master’s in Applied Health and Sport Science. 
 
Anthony is a native of Willard, Missouri. He is the son of Dana Boland and Doug Caenepeel.
