Cao was a professional volleyball player in Beijing, China from 2001-2009. She retired in November, 2009, and worked for The Experimental High School Attached to Beijing Normal University for two years. She taught PE class (12-15years old girls) and coached volleyball for the high school.
She is from Beijing, China, and graduated from “Capital University of Physical Education and Sports”  in 2008.
She is a Physical Education and IDT (instruction design of technology) major at Emporia State.
