At ESU
2019-20: Carlson opened her collegiate career at the Crimson & Gold Invitational where she ran a 59.75 400 meters. This would end up being her PR. Later in the season, Carlson would run a PR in the 200 meters at the Arkansas Qualifier with a time of 25.47. Carlson's outdoor season was canceled due to COVID-19.
2020-21: Carlson looks to pick things up where she left off as she enters her Sophomore season. Carlson ran her best 200 meters during the indoor season at the Bearcat Invitational where she clocked a 25.91. Unfortunately a hamstring injury sidelined her for the outdoor season.
