Biography

Forward Kyrstie Miller (Sr./Holton, Kan.) is in her fourth year with the Lady Hornets. 

As a Junior in 2016-17: She was fifth in the MIAA in blocked shots, sixth in steals, ninth in offensive rebounding, and 13th in rebounding last year. She had ten rebounds, four points, three assists, two blocks and two steals against Pittsburg State in the regional semifinals. She scored 16 points with four three-pointers, two blocks and two steals against Northern State in the regional quarterfinals. She scored 15 points with eight rebounds in the MIAA quarterfinals against Ft. Hays State. She had a double-double with 11 points with ten rebounds at Southwest Baptist. She tied her career high with four blocked shots against Pittsburg State and added ten points with nine rebounds. She scored a career high 24 points with eight rebounds against Washburn. She had 18 points, five rebounds and three steals against Lincoln. She had ten points, a career high 12 rebounds and six steals against Lubbock Christian. She scored 16 points with nine rebounds and three steals at Drury. She scored 19 points against Okla. Baptist with nine rebounds. She scored eight points with five rebounds, five assists and four steals at Baylor

As a Sophomore in 2015-16: She was 12th in the MIAA in blocked shots. She scored five points with nine rebounds, two assists a block and a steal in the regional championship game against Pittsburg State last season. She had ten points and eight rebounds against Washburn. She had 11 points on four of four shooting with three three-pointers, five rebounds and three steals at Southwest Baptist. She had 11 points on five of seven shooting and seven boards against Lincoln. She tied her career high with ten rebounds at Neb.-Kearney. She had a career high 17 points on six of nine shooting from the field and hit five three-pointers against Science & Arts. She scored ten points at Southwestern Oklahoma.

As a Freshman in 2014-15: She was second on the team in steals, and third in blocks, and fourth in assists while averaging 18.6 minutes per game. She scored seven points with three blocked shots against Ft. Hays State in the regional championship game. She had a career high ten rebounds against Ft. Hays State in the MIAA Championship game. She had eight rebounds, five steals and three blocks against Central Oklahoma. She had nine points, seven rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block against Northeastern State. She had her first start against Central Missouri and tied her career high with 11 points and had career highs of eight rebounds and four steals in 34 minutes. She reached double figures for the first time as a Lady Hornet with 11 points on four of seven shooting against Newman. She was three of five from the three-point arc and dished three assists against the Jets. She scored six points with five assists, four rebounds, three blocks and a steal against Henderson State. She was perfect from the field including a two of two effort from behind the three-point line for eight points at Midwestern State. She scored eight points with four rebounds and two assists at Kansas State. Her three-pointer with 1:06 left gave Emporia State a 50-49 lead at Bramlage Coliseum.

High School- Miller is a 5-9 forward from Holton HS.  With her senior year coming up she is eighth in career scoring, third in career rebounding and second in career steals at Holton HS. She was named honorable mention All-State as a freshman and sophomore before earning first-team All-Class 4A as a junior. The Wildcats played in two of the last three state championship games, winning the state title in 2011.
