As a Junior in 2012

She was named second-team All-MIAA...went 3-0 with 25 strike outs in 19.0 innings pitched and a 0.74 ERA in the MIAA Tournament...is 18-3 with a 2.08 ERA and two saves on the season and opponents are batting just .207 against her...has 159 strike outs in 141.1 innings pitched this season...tossed her MIAA record third no hitter of the season at Missouri Southern on April 6...was named MIAA Pitcher of the Week after going 2-0 with a no-hitter in the opening week of MIAA play...threw her second no hitter of the year and third of her career against SBU...tossed a no hitter against Henderson State with 12 strikeouts.  

As a Sophomore in 2011

She was named Second Team All-South Central Region by the NFCA..was named second team All-MIAA as she led the team with a 19-7 record and a 1.08 earned run average...she led the team with 170 strikeouts...she had three saves and appeared in 32 games. 

As a Freshman in 2010 

Made a team high ten relief appearances for the Hornets during her freshman season...earned a 6-3 record with a 2.30 ERA and 67 strikeouts...averaged a team high 7.69 strikeouts per game...held left-handers to a team best .290 average. 

High School 

Was named to the All-State team her junior and senior season...was named the Hutchison News Area Pitcher of the Year after three wins in the State Tournament where she struck out 36 batters over four games and only walked two...was also an All-State volleyball player for the Owls. 

Personal

An Elementary Education major...her parents are Scott and Diane Schmelzer..sister of Hornet Bradie Schmelzer.
