Medina is in her second year with the Hornets as a graduate assistant. She is in charge of strength & conditioning, study hall, and works mostly with the outfielders. She comes from Western Nebraska Community College, where she was an assistant coach in 2019. She is a graduate from both WNCC and Lubbock Christian University, where she was an All-Heartland, All-American outfielder.

As a senior Medina was an All-Heartland second-team selection for outfield for the Lady Chaps. She had a .403 on-base percentage and led the conference with 27 stolen bases. She earned first-team All-Heartland honors as a junior and was named conference Newcomer of the Year. She was tied for 20th in the nation with .73 steals per game, at 37 steals on the season.

Median started all 66 games as a sophomore for WNCC in centerfield with a .984 fielding percentage and a .438 clip at the plate. She led the nation in plate appearances with 266, and finished fifth in the country in runs scored at 91 and stolen bases with 57. She was a first-team All-Region selection and a third-team NFCA All-American. She appeared in 57 games for the Cougars as a freshman. She logged a .310 batting average with a .975 fielding percentage. She was named an NFCA All-Scholar Athlete.
