Olmsted is a graduate from Salina Central HS.

At ESU
2019-20: Olmsted is a Sophomore academically but enters his first year with the Hornets where he will look to develop his physical and mental skills. Olmsted ran a lifetime best in the mile with a time of 4:57.99, which happened at the UCM Invite. Olmsted's outdoor season was canceled due to COVID-19.
2020-21: Olmsted's best mark in the indoor season came at the UCM Invitational where he set a lifetime best in the mile with a time of 4:57.57. A week later at the Wendy's/PSU MIAA Challenge, Olsmted set another lifetime best in the 800 with a time of 2:10.08. At the ESU Relays, Olmsted ran his best 1500 of his career by clocking a 4:19.61.

Born August 26, 1999...son of Timi Sankey and Jim Olmsted...has one sibling Blake...majoring in business administration with a minor in entrepreneurship.
