Before moving to Emporia, Curry was born and raised in Crenshaw, MS and attended Madison Shannon Palmer HS where he was apart of the 4x100m relay school record as a Freshman. He was also a State qualifier in the 100m as a Freshman in Mississippi.

Son of Lowery Curry and Regnaild Smith...has two sisters, a brother, and three nieces...majoring in criminal justice.
