While competing for Shawnee Heights, Oshel was a two-time State placer in the javelin.
At ESU
2018-19: Oshel will look to better his PR's in the javelin and hammer during his Freshman year with the Hornets. Oshel had a PR of 40'11.5' in the weight throw which came at the UCM Invite and at the KT Woodman Classic, Oshel had another PR, this time in the hammer with a mark of 150'.
2019-20: Oshel returns for his second season where he looks to improve upon his marks from last season. Oshle threw a new lifetime best in the weight throw with a mark of 45'6.5" (13.88m) which happened at the Steve Miller Open. His outdoor season was canceled due to COVID-19.
2020-21: Oshel has dabbled with the discus and shot put a little bit this outdoor season but still focuses mainly on the hammer throw. At the Midwest Classic, Oshel threw a lifetime best 49.20m (161'5").

Born July 22, 1998...son of John and Misty Oshel...has one sibling Rylie...majoring in Special Education.
