2018: Sams enters his Senior year as the top runner for the Hornets. He is coming off a year where he was 4th at the MIAA Outdoor Championships in the 10,000 and as a top 5 runner on the team that placed 5th at conference during Cross Country. With personal bests of 15:47 (5000), 26:20 (8000) and 31:54 (10,000) Sams will look to end his career as a Hornet on a high note.
2019: After red-shirting the 2018 cross country season, Sams returns for his final XC season as the top runner for the Hornets. Sams continues to gain strength as he was injured towards the end of the year last year. The Hornets will turn to Sams as the leader come Championship season. With the power E back on his chest, Sams finishes as the 3rd runner for the Hornets at the J.K. Gold Classic with a PR of 19:44.2 for 6k.

Born December 10, 1996...son of Mark Sams and Melody Lowe...majoring in physical education and health with a minor in coaching.
