In HS    
Young is a graduate of Olathe East HS where he was a National Honor Society member and was All-Academic for cross country in 2017. Young played soccer in the Fall and was on the State championship team in 2018. He was also a member of the State winning XC team in 2016. In 2019, Young was a State finalist in both the 1600 meters and the 4x800 relay.

At ESU:
2019: Young enters his first year with the Hornets where he won't have to worry about being a dual sport athlete. Young will put all his attention into becoming the best distance runner he can be. He will develop his leadership and physical skills as the year goes on. Young began his collegiate career with a time of 20:07.1 over 6k at the J.K. Gold Classic.  At conference, Young placed 52nd overall and 3rd on the team with a 26:20 over the 8 Kilometers.
2020: Young's season was canceled due to COVID-19.
2021:  Young was the number 2 runner at 6 out 7 meets this season.  He PR'd in the 8K with a time of 25:23, and placed 25th overall at the MIAA Conference Championships, and 53rd overall at the NCAA All-Central Region.

Born December 9, 2000...son of Mark and Lisa Young...has two siblings Cole and Miles...majoring in Nursing.
