At the end of the 2017 regular season, Ashmore has a .356 batting average, a .522 slugging percentage and a team high .468 on base percentage. He has 64 hits that include 15 doubles, three triples and three home runs. Ashmore has a team high 62 runs scored and 30 RBI. He has been walked 34 times and also leads the team with 20 stolen bases. Ashmore is batting .517 as a leadoff batter and .500 with runners on third and less than two outs.

Last year as a junior, Ashmore hit .292 for the Hornets with an on base percentage of .375. Ashmore had 14 doubles, seven home runs, 36 RBI and 59 runs scored. He was named an All-MIAA Selection.

As a sophomore in 2015, Ashmore transferred to Neosho County where he hit .423 with an on base percentage of .494 and finished the year with 90 hits including nine doubles, four triples, five home runs, 51 RBI and 69 runs scored. He was again named to all-conference.

As a freshman in 2014, Ashmore attended Allen County Community College where he hit .318 with a .409 on base percentatge, nine doubles and two home runs. He was named as an all-conference selection.

Ashmore has attended Allen County Community College and Neosho County Community College and went to Iola high school.

Ashmore is majoring in Business Administration and is the son of Sherman Ashmore and Sharon Buckle.
