Chase Dippel

Chase Dippel is in his first year as assistant men’s basketball coach at Emporia State.

 

Dippel has been coaching in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) for the past three seasons, in an assistant coaching capacity at both Ottawa University and the University of Saint Mary. During those three seasons Dippel accumulated an overall record of 51-39, including two top three finishes in the league, and a 22 win season in 2016-17.

 

Last Season, Dippel was on staff as an assistant coach under Aaron Siebenthall at Ottawa University. The Braves posted wins over two top 25 teams in York College and Oklahoma Wesleyan. 

 

From 2015-2017 Dippel was an assistant coach at the University of Saint Mary where he helped the Spires to an overall record of 39-23 and a KCAC record of 25-17. Both years the Spires posted a third place finish in the league, making the KCAC tournament semifinal in 2015-16. During his two years at Saint Mary, Dippel coached the Kansas Collegiate all time leading scorer Grant Greenberg, who broke the previous record held by Danny Manning, by scoring 3,330 points in his four year career. 

 

Dippel served in all facets of the programs while on staff at Ottawa and Saint Mary. His focuses were on recruiting, player development, strength and conditioning, scouting, and in game preparation. 

 

Dippel played at Ottawa University for head coach Andy Carrier. He was a three time all KCAC performer, and is ranked in the top ten of career scorers for the Braves with 1,354 points. He also holds the Ottawa University record for most 3 point makes in a career with 254. 

 

Dippel is a native of Lindsborg, KS and holds degrees from Ottawa University (BA) and University of Saint Mary (MA).
