Summer of 2015: played in the Kansas collegiate baseball league for the Kansas Cannons. Selected as an All-League Catcher.

Summer of 2014: Played in the Walter Johnson league for the Kansas Cougars.

2014: As a sophomore at Barton County Community College, byfield batted .310 with 14 doubles and 4 home runs. Collecting a total of 39 RBI's.

2013: As a freshman at Barton County community College Byfield batted .296 with 4 doubles.

High School: Led Maize HS to a championship finish in 2011 in the Kansas 6A State Tournament.
