Biography

2016: Appeared in 10 of the team’s 13 games while starting in nine from his safety position….Finished the season with 26 tackles….Also had one pass breakup and one pass defensed….Had five tackles including a forced fumble and fumble recovery in which he returned 49 yards at Nebraska-Kearney (9/8)….Named a Second-Team Academic All-American by CoSIDA….MIAA Academic Honor Roll recipient.

 

High School: Played at McPherson High School in McPherson, Kansas….Named First-Team All-Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail League Division II as well as Honorable Mention All-State at Safety as a senior….Earned Second-Team All-League honors at both Safety and Receiver as a junior at McPherson….Coached by Tom Young.

 

Personal: Received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Information Systems….Currently pursuing his M.B.A. with concentration in Information Systems….Son of Kim & Mark Houghton.
