Previously
He played in seven games with four starts at Chicago State in 2020-21, reaching double figures in five of the seven contests. He averaged 10.9 points, 2.4 assists and 1.9 rebounds per game. He had a season high 18 points at Northwestern and at Drake.
He began his collegiate career at East Los Angeles College. His sophomore season was featured on the basketball edition of the Netflix series Last Chance U. He was a First-Team All-South Coast Northern Conference performer averaged 9.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.5 steals for the Huskies, leading the team to a 29-1 record and a berth in the CCCAA State championship Elite Eight in 2020.

In High School
He was a standout point guard at Ridgeview HS in Bakersfield, Calif. and helped lead them to the Central Section Division 2 championship.
