Biography

Running back Josh Matthews (Sr./McKinney, Texas) had 81 yards on 14 carries last season including a career high 52 yards on eight carries against Lincoln. He had six carries for 29 yards in his Hornet debut at Ft. Hays State. He transferred to Emporia State from Drake where he played in 22 games as a defensive back for the Bulldogs. He is the brother of former Hornet defensive end and current graduate assistant Aaron Matthews.
