AT TEXAS AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2010)
Appeared in six games with one start...posted two receptions for 14 yards and one TD...caught a one-yard TD pass at Kansas State...made his first career start and helped pave the way for an offense that registered 51 points and 522 yards of total offense, including 259 on the ground and 263 through the air, against Florida Atlantic...redshirted in 2009.

A three-time all-district performer and two-way prep standout at Kilgore HS... started at tight end and defensive end as a prepster ... tabbed one of the top 10 defensive ends in Texas by Dave Campbell's Texas Football...led Kilgore to consecutive 14-4A district championships...earned district 14-4A Defensive MVP honors and first-team all-district honors at defensive end and tight end as a senior...registered 68 tackles, nine TFL, two sacks, 15 pressures, an INT, six PBU, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries...also lettered in track and field for two seasons.

(1-4), Kilgore, Texas (4-12), Longview, Texas (12-14) and then back to Kilgore...a prep honor roll student ... is active in community service...participated in Coats for Kids and canned food drives through his church...cousin, Allen Rossum, was a cornerback/returner for Notre Dame (1994-97) who played 12 seasons in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles (third-round draft pick, 1998-99), Green Bay Packers (2000-01), Atlanta Falcons (2002-06), Pittsburgh Steelers (2007), San Francisco 49ers (2008) and Dallas Cowboys (2009).
