Nathan Linsey

Nathan Linsey is in his ninth year as an assistant coach for the Hornets. He spent two years as a graduate assistant helping with the defensive line and Nickels before being hired full time in 2012 to coach the secondary. While coaching the DL, two players were named honorable mention all-conference. In 2014, he added the Special Teams Coordinator title.

Since taking over the secondary in 2012 and Special teams in 2014, 7 different Defensive backs have earned All – MIAA Honors, and he has coached an All American Punter and Kicker (2017 / 2015). In 2016, the Hornets lead the MIAA in Interceptions (21) and finished 9th in Division 2.
In 2017, Coach Linsey helped guide the punt unit to a 40.89 net punt average, ranking #1 in NCAA Division 2.
 
Linsey was named second-team All-MIAA at linebacker for Emporia State as a senior. He finished the year ranked 17th in the MIAA in tackles. He was also sixth in passes defended and ninth in fumble recoveries despite missing the final three games with a knee injury.

Coach Linsey earned his Bachelors and Master’s Degrees from Emporia State University.
