Daniel Siehndel

Daniel Siehndel is in his first season with the Hornets football program, joining the team as a graduate assistant and coaching the defensive backs.


In 2015, Siehndel coached both the linebackers and wide receivers as well as working with the special teams at North Kansas City High School. Coach Siehndel also worked as a strength and conditioning coach.

Siehndel played one season at the University of Northern Colorado before transferring and finishing his career at Division 1 FCS member Southeast Missouri State of the Ohio Valley Conference. At Southeast Missouri State, Siehndel was a four-year letterman and two-year starter at linebacker. He was a Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference pick at linebacker in 2013 where he finished the season tied for fifth in the OVC in interceptions playing in only four games due to injury. Siehndel was also named Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in 2014 against Austin Peay. Siehndel was a four-time Ohio Valley Conference Comissioner's Honor Roll member.

Siehndel, a member of the American Football Coaches Association, graduated in 2013 from Southeast Missouri State with a bachelor's degree in General Studies and again in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Emporia State.
