Buffalomeat redshirted last season for Emporia State. A first-team All-Sunflower League selection at receiver and second-team pick as a punter he earned honorable mention all-state honors as a senior. He had 49 receptions for 609 yards and five touchdowns as a senior for Lawrence HS.
