At the close of the 2017 regular season, Slauter has pitched 21.1 innings in 13 appearances and four starts. He is 1-0 on the season with a 5.06 ERA. Slauter has 22 strikeouts and just six walks with a .341 opponent batting average and a save.

As a junior at Emporia State last season, Slauter appeared in 18 games with 13 starts. He had a 6-5 record with 50 strikeouts and only 11 walks in 68.1 innings pitched.

As a sophomore at Neosho County Community College during the 2015 season, Slauter had 11 starts with a 6-3 record. He had a 4.08 ERA, 60 strikeouts and only nine walks through 68.1 innings pitched. He was named to the Jayhawk Conference Honorable Mention.

During his freshman season in 2014 at Neosho County Community College, Slauter had 12 starts with a 7-1 record. He earned a 3.53 ERA with 47 strikeouts and only 14 walks through 74 innings pitched. He was named to the Jayhawk Conference Honorable Mention.

Slauter was a four-year letter at Olathe North high school. He was a two-time All-Sunflower League honor, a three-time All-Olathe Team honor, named to second team all-state as a pitcher and named Male Athlete of the Year.

Slauter is majoring in Information Systems and is the son of Darryl and Tresa Slauter.
