2018: Transferred to Mississippi State where he took a medical redshirt.

2017: Played his sophomore year at Scottsdale Community College and hit .297 with 11 home runs and 45 RBI. Voted first team All-Conference.

2016: Voted First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-American during his freshman year after hitting .321 with 11 home runs and 48 RBI. In February of his freshman season, earned player of the week honors after going 11 for 17 with two doubles, two triples, three home runs over four games, in addition to hitting for the cycle.

High School: Coached by Corby Lange at Blue Valley Northwest High School in Overland Park, Kan. Played just one year of varsity baseball before earning a roster spot at Scottsdale Community College. Pitched his way to an All-State selection following his senior campaign. Also named an All-Conference selection at DH.

Majoring in Psychology.

Personal: Son of Gary and Victoria Pener. Lou has two older brothers, Brett and Kyle, and one older sister, Jordan.
