Biography

In 2017, Downing tossed 35.1 innings in 20 appearances. He was 3-4 on the year with a 3.06 ERA. Downing had 23 strikeouts and 16 walks with a .260 opponent batting average.
 
In his sophomore season last year at Dodge City Community College, Downing had a 5.13 ERA in 59 innings and an 8-4 record as a starter.
 
As a freshman in 2015 at Dodge City Community College, Downing posted a 4-2 record with two complete games and a 4.10 ERA in 68 innings. He led his team to a Region VI championship win and a JUCO World Series appearance.
 
Downing transferred from Dodge City Community College and attended Hays High School in Hays, Kan.
 
Downing is majoring in Business Management and is the son of Scott and Mary Downing.
