Thomas is a 5-10 point guard from Bonner Springs, Kan. He averaged 21.0 points, 4.8 assists, 3.9 steals and 3.9 rebounds per game as a senior. He averaged 19.5 points, 5.3 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game as a junior.  He is a three-time All-State selection, earning first-team honors from Sports in Kansas and second-team honors from the Topeka Capital Journal as a junior and senior after picking up honorable mention awards as a sophomore. He was the Kaw Valley League Player of the Year for the Braves.
