At the end of the 2017 regular season, Dean is batting .265 with a .506 slugging percentage and a .345 on base percentage. He has 45 hits that include six doubles, a triple and 11 home runs. Dean has scored 43 runs and brought in 38 RBI. He has been walked 21 times and stolen seven stolen bases. Dean has five assists from the outfield.

Last season as a junior for the Hornets, Dean started in 39 games in left field with a 1.000 fielding percentage. He had a .317 batting average, 12 doubles, nine home runs and 35 RBI.

Dean redshirted for the Emporia State during the 2015 season.

As a sophomore at Pratt Community College in 2014, Dean started every game in right field. He had a .340 batting average with 12 home runs and was named First Team All-Jayhawk Conference Outfielder.

During the 2013 season as a freshman at Pratt Community College, Dean started 40 games in right field. He had a .260 batting average with three home runs, 14 doubles and 13 stolen bases.

Dean has previously played for Pratt Community College and attended Pratt high school.

Dean is majoring in Recreation and is the son of Scooter and Brenda Dean.
