In HS
Underwood is a graduate of Wamego HS where she was on the high honor roll all 4 years. She was also a Kansas State Scholar and a Wendy's Heisman Kansas school winner. Underwood lettered in cross country and track, was a State qualifier in XC, and a 4x State qualifier in track. Underwood was a 4x NCKL All-League athlete.

At ESU
2019-20: Entering her Freshman year, Underwood will develop into a multi-eventer for the lady hornets and will try to fill the shoes of school record holder Brianna Schmitz. Underwood has some experience with the combined events with a PR of 3290 in the heptathlon. Underwood's best pentathlon performance came at the MIAA Indoor Championships where she scored 2952 points. Her outdoor season was canceled due to COVID-19.
2020-21: Underwood starts her Sophomore season with the lady Hornets where she continues to develop into a combined events athlete.

Born August 24, 2000...daughter of Russell and Chan'Tal Underwood...has 2 siblings Bry'Anna and Ally...majoring in Pre-med/Biochemistry with a minor in Spanish.
