In HS
While at Paola HS, Wilkes was a member of the 4x400 relay team that won the 2017 4A State championship. Wilkes also ran on the 4x800 relay team that placed third in the State meet in 2017 and fifth in 2018. 2018 was also the year that Wilkes was a 4A State qualifier in the discus.
At ESU
2018-19: Wilkes is entering his first year with the Hornets and will work with the multi-event group. With PR's of 51.6 (400), 2:01 (800) and 140'4 (discus) Wilkes will look to improve upon those marks while filling the shoes of former great multi's like Wyatt Sander and Payson Maydew.
2019-20: Wilkes had a new personal best in the heptathlon when he scored 4726 points at the Bearcat Open. His outdoor season was canceled due to COVID-19.

Born March 9, 2000...son of Michael and Sondra...has four siblings, Michael, Michelle, Norman, and Sarah...majoring in physical education.
