Biography
In HS
A graduate from Olathe South, Shryock had a top 10 finish at the Kansas State High School Championships in Cross Country and was a part of a 4x800 relay that placed 2nd and 4th at the 2017 and 2018 Kansas High School Track and Field Championships. Shryock also holds times in the 1600, 3200, and 3,000 that are apart of Olathe South's top 5 times.
At ESU
2018-19: Just a Freshman for the Hornets, Shryock will look to find his feet this first year and improve on his personal bests of 2:00 (800), 4:30 (1600), and 16:05 (5000).
2019-20: Now a Sophomore for the Hornets, Shyrock comes off a strong summer of training and will be one of the top runners for the men's team. Shyrock has developed into one of the vocal leaders of the team and he will continue to develop those skills as well as improving upon his marks from last year. Shryock set a new lifetime best in the mile at the Bearcat Open by running 4:35.76. The following week, Shryock would set another PR, this time in the 3000 meters, at the Gorilla Classic by running 8:52.90. Shryock's outdoor season was canceled due to COVID-19.
2020-21: Shryock saw his best 5000 meter performance come at the ESU Spring Invitational where he ran 15:27.39. Dropping down to the 1500 at the ESU Relays, Shryock ran 4:06.39.

Born September 8, 1999...son of Kathleen and Jim Shyrock...has one sibling Rachel...majoring in physical education with a minor in coaching.
