Biography

In HS
Russell graduated from Seaman HS where she was on the honor roll, a Kansas Honor Scholar, and a member of the National Honors Society. She was All-City in track for 2 years and All-Academic for track for 2 years. On top of being a 3x State qualifier, Russell was a Wendy's Athlete of the Week.

At ESU
2019-20: Russell will focus on improving her marks in the discus, hammer, javelin, and shot put during her Freshman year with the lady hornets. At the Steve Miller Open, Russel threw a personal best mark of 38'4.75" (11.70m) in the weight throw. Russell's outdoor season was canceled due to COVID-19.
