July 9, 2026-Following a successful "Year of Celebration" that provided free general admission to all home athletic events, Emporia State University Athletics has announced its ticket pricing structure for the 2026-27 season. As ESU Athletics looks ahead to the upcoming season, the department is implementing a ticketing model designed to keep events accessible while supporting the continued growth of the student-athlete and fan experience.
"Throughout the 2025-26 school year, ESU Athletics proudly welcomed fans to home events at no cost as part of the university's Year of Celebration. That created opportunities for thousands of community members, alumni, and families to experience Hornet Athletics while providing an outstanding home atmosphere for ESU student-athletes," said Emporia State Director of Athletics
Steve Rodecap. "The updated model reflects our commitment to maintaining an affordable and welcoming fan experience while supporting the long-term sustainability of Hornet Athletics,"
Emporia State will resume the sale of general admission tickets for the 2026-27 school year in the sports of football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, and softball contests, while soccer, tennis and disc golf will continue to offer free general admission for all fans to regular season events. Track and field ticketing will be determined on a meet per meet basis.
As part of the updated ticketing structure, fans under the age of 18 will receive free general admission to any regular-season home athletic events when accompanied by a paid adult. One paid adult admission will cover free entry for accompanying youth under the age of 18, allowing families to enjoy Hornet Athletics together at an affordable cost.
Season tickets will be offered in all sports and provide a range of savings between $10 and $240 over cost of buying tickets on a game by game basis. The best value will be a Hornet All Sports Pass for just $275 that will provide one general admission entry to every regular season Emporia State home game during the 2026-27 seasons. That is a savings of nearly $750 over purchasing an individual ticket to each event on game day.
Football and volleyball tickets are on sale now at esuhornets.com while basketball season tickets will be available starting in early October. Baseball and softball tickets will be available after the new year.
ESU Athletics appreciates the tremendous support shown by Hornet fans throughout the Year of Celebration and looks forward to welcoming the campus and community back for another exciting year of competition during the 2026-27 season.
