April 10, 2026-Heading into Saturday's finals at the College Disc Golf National Championships, Emporia State has a team in the top three in all divisions in Rock Hill, S.C.

The Emporia State men's D1 team of
Carter Ahrens,
Tyler Ahrens,
TJ Reel and
Jaden Rye shot -9 on the day and are at -18 through three rounds. They have a one stroke lead on Milligan and are three strokes in front of Mississippi State and North Carolina State. The Hornets and Milligan will be on the lead card that tees off at 11:50 a.m. (ET) on Saturday at the Winthrop University Rec Area.

The men's D2 team of Isaia Esquivel,
Caden Stucky,
Joshua Sterner and
Grant Yoder are in second place at -8 after three rounds. Emporia State birded six of the final eight hole to pull within three strokes of North Carolina State, who had a six stroke lead after 11 holes. The Hornets and Wolfpack will be together on the final card at Canaan Riverbend with an 11:50 a.m. (ET) tee off on Saturday.

Emporia State has two teams in the top four of the women's competition. The Hornet Black team of
Madeline Joiner and
Isabella Parker are in third place at -8 while the ESU Gold team of
Atlanta Krueger and
Maya Ringgold one spot behind them at -6 headed into Saturday's final round. The Emporia State White team of
Sariah Pittenger-Reed and
Olivia Evans are in 14th place at +21 through three rounds. The White team will tee off at 1:00 p.m. (ET) on Saturday with the Black and Gold squads on the second to last card at 1:50 p.m. (ET) at Winthrop Lake. Liberty leads the women's competition at -21 while Milligan is -17 for second place.
