February 14, 2026 Emporia State posted a x-x home win over McPherson on Saturday at the Kossover Family Tennis Complex.
 
DOUBLES
The Hornets made fairly quick work in the doubles action dropping a total of eight games in the three matches.  Sheriden Wichman and Erin Cahill won 6-3 at #2 doubles while Giovanna Ferreira and Carla Paul Piquer won 6-4 at #1 to clinch the point.  Ana Fatjo Coll and Giulia Russu closed it out with a 6-1 win at 3 doubles.
 
SINGLES
The Hornets played down a player in singles to make it 1-1 as singles play began.  Carla Paul Piquer won 6-3, 6-4 at #1 to put ESU ahead 2-1.  Erin Cahill took a 6-3, 6-1 win at #3 and Sheriden Wichman came from behind to win 2-6, 7-6, 1-0 (10-4) to clinch the dual win. With the final decision in hand, Giulia Russu and Ana Fatjo Coll played to 8-2 wins at 4 and 5 singles to close out the dual.
