January 22, 2026 – The MIAA released the 2026 MIAA/GAC Men's Tennis Preseason Poll, and the Hornet men are picked second in the North Division.
The Hornet men went 11-7 last season, their second straight season with double-digit wins.
Anton Sarunic will look to lead the Hornets from #1 singles again in 2026, as he finished the 2025 season ranked #24 in the ITA Rankings, and eighth in the region. At doubles,
Gwendal Mazuay and
Alexis Mattenberger were ranked #45 in the nation and also eighth in the region to end the campaign.
The ranking of second in the north division is the highest preseason ranking for the Hornet men, and they only trail last year's national runners up Washburn in the preseason poll.
The 2026 season will begin for the Hornet men will begin on February 3 as they host Kansas Wesleyan at 2:00 p.m. from the Kossover Tennis Complex.
