September 28, 2025-Santiago Torres advanced to the consolation bracket final of the main draw to wrap up Emporia State men's tennis weekend at the ITA Central Regional Championships in Topeka, Kan.

Torres came from behind to defeat Neb.-Kearney's Tom van den Dungen 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-4) in the semifinals. He would fall 6-3, 6-1 to Moritz Pieper of Washburn in the consolation championship match.

The next action for Emporia State will be October 24-26 when both the men's and women's teams will take part in the Washburn Invitational.
