Mazuay wins B Draw Consolation Championship at ITA Regional

September 27, 2024-Gwendal Mazuay won the B Draw Singles Consolation Championship on the final day of the ITA Men's Central Regional in Topeka, Kan.
 
Mazuay defeated Ark.-Fort Smith's Rodrigo Hoppe 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-6) in the championship match for the Hornets. 
 
In other Saturday action the Hornets Santiago Torres and Alexis Mattenberger fell in the Main Draw Doubles Consolation Final 8-3 to Jinsei Tajima and Frode Neumann of Southern Arkansas.
 
Emporia State will be back in action on Saturday, October 5 at the Pratt Invitational in Pratt, Kan.
