Emporia State Women's Tennis wraps up play at ITA Regional

September 21, 2024-Emporia had three wins on Saturday at the ITA Women's Central Regional Championships at Edmond Center Court.
 
In the Flight A consolation round of 16, Perla Conde Vendrell won 6-1, 7-5 against Adiya Abdugappar of Henderson State before falling in the consolation quarter finals.  Sheriden Wichman came from behind to defeat Anastasia Myachina of Ouachita Baptist 1-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7) in the Flight B consolation round of 16.  She would then fall in three sets in the quarterfinals.
 
The duo of Perla Conde Vendrell and Yuliya Klimova advanced to the Flight A consolation quarter finals via injury default before falling 9-7.
 
The next action for the Emporia State women will be on Friday, October 4 at the Pratt CC Invitational in Pratt, Kan.
