SIX STRAIGHT TO PITT STATE
Emporia State travels to Pittsburg State for their final early season tournament as they take part in the PSU Regional Challenge. The Hornets enter the tournament on a six-match winning streak following their 3-0 performance at the Tiger Classic last weekend.

ABOUT THE COACHES
Ken Murczek is in his second season at Emporia State and has a 19-17 record. In his first season at the helm, the Hornets improved their overall win total by nine games and conference win total by six games as they made a trip to the MIAA Tournament. Murczek will be meeting all three teams this weekend for the first time. 
Kamille Jones is in her fourth season at Illnois-Springfield and has a 42-47 record with the Prairie Stars.
Phillip McDaniel is in his eighth season at Henderson State and has a 115-70 record with the Reddies.
Jacquie Cason is in her first season at Missour S&T and is 2-5 this season with the Miners.

ABOUT THE HORNETS
Emporia State is 6-1 through the first two weeks of the season and are coming off a 3-0 performance last weekend at the Tiger Classic. Brailee Bogle coordinates the attack for the Hornets from the setter position and has 270 assists through the first seven matches for an average of 10.80 per set which ranks fourth in the MIAA. Rayishon Jackman and Weronika Wrzesinska lead the Hornets on the attack with 108 and 78 kills respectively. Jackman's average of 4.32 kills per set leads the MIAA. On the defensive side, five Hornets have double-digit blocks with Mia Frisbie, Wrzesinska and McKenya Sorrells leading the way with 23, 19 and 18 blocks respectively. Frisbie is averaging 1.0 blocks per set, which ranks eighth in the MIAA.

SCOUTING THE PRAIRIE STARS
Illinois-Springfield is 7-1 on the season with their lone loss coming against NSIC opponent Minnesota State. The Prairie Stars are led offensively by Makenna Cox who is averaging 4.62 kills per set, the sixth-best average in the nation. Eirini Glynou is also averaging 3.42 kills per set this season. Erica Sledge is averaging 9.96 assists per set and the Prairie Stars have three players with double-digit blocks this season.

SCOUTING THE REDDIES
Henderson State is 7-3 this season and they are 1-1 against MIAA competition. The Reddies are led by a trio of hitters with over 80 kills through the first ten matches with Christiane Uzoh posting a team-high 88 kills on 2.51 kills per set. Madison Hatt and Braxton Jones hold down the setter position and combine for 8.46 assists per set. Uzoh, along with Larkin Luke and Cassidi Campbell have over 25 total blocks. 

SCOUTING THE MINERS
Missouri S&T is 2-5 this season and have played one common opponent with the Hornets, as they fell in three sets against Winona State. On the offensive side, the Miners are led by Alina Carrillo who has 100 kills and is averaging 3.70 kills per set. Elise Mehaffy and Annie Arand have combined to average 8.62 assists per set this season.
