Game 2
It was a seven run fourth that provided the big blow in the Gorillas 11-3 win in the nightcap.
Paxtyn Hayes gave Pittsburg State a 2-0 lead in the top of the first. The combo of Lexi Williams and Alexis Dial again combined to get the Hornets on the board in the bottom of the frame.  With one out Williams singled and stole second before Dial singled her home.
The Gorillas went back up 4-1 thanks to a two run double by Hayes in the top of the second. The Hornets responded again in the bottom of the frame with a pair of unearned runs. Avery Brewer reached on a fielder's choice and went to third when Emma Furnish's single was misplayed in left field.  With two outs Lexi Williams then hit a chopper that was misplayed by the first baseman and with the runners going both Furnish and Brewer scored to make it 4-3.
Aided by four walks, Pitt State would score seven runs on four hits with one Hornet error in the top of the fourth to go up 11-3.
